A healthy dose of skepticism is good when it comes to picking an adult website to give your hard earned money. Sometimes, shock of all shocks, sites lie about what’s inside the member’s area on the free tour to convince you to join. You’ll be disappointed when you finally see the content of these sites, but they already have your money and are laughing all the way to the bank. I mentioned all this because Toon-X is one of those sites that sets off my radar as I browse through the free tour. They claim to have hundreds of high quality movies with some running an hour long. They claim to have hot pictures of your favorite video game babes like Lara Croft and they claim more than 30,000 pictures. I’m not saying all of this is a lie, I’m just saying that I wonder if it’s possible for any site to put together such a collection of adult content. Let’s see what happens when I log in.
I take no joy in the fact that my skepticism was properly placed, but the member’s area of Toon-X is a disappointment. They fall short of almost every promise they made on the tour. The images used on the tour can’t even be found in the member’s area, which is just amazing. The design is uninspired; it’s clear they put almost no money and time into this project and were simply hoping to push it out the door and capitalize on the desperation of toon lovers. One of the problems is that there aren’t many great animated porn sites on the web. It’s not an easy thing to produce, so the good sites simply buy a bunch of hentai videos and upload those.
A Toon-X you won’t find one hentai video for download and you won’t find any videos that even come close to the hour length promised on the free tour. Instead the videos are cartoon shorts that last no more than ten minutes in most cases. Any sense of eroticism is missing from the downloadable clips, replaced by an over the top humor that doesn’t elicit any laughs, nor does it create any arousal (at least for me). I can see where some people might enjoy these kinds of videos, but I don’t thing someone would be willing to pay a monthly fee for the right to watch them.
Instead of there being hundreds of videos, as promised on the tour, there are 47, totaling no more than ten hours of content. Like I said though, you’re probably not going to get a thrill out of any of the videos, so don’t feel too disappointed. The pictures are another story and they remain the only part of Toon-X that’s worth a damn. There are 77 galleries in the collection, and although the total number of pictures falls well short of the 30,000 predicted on the tour there are a number of worthy additions to any animated porn collection.
The good stuff is drawn in an American comic book style. The babes have American features, including Barbie doll like bodies and beautiful faces. Most of the action is softcore posing, but there are some hardcore scenes. The good stuff also includes sci-fi related drawings with babes fucking monsters, hot sci-fi costumes, etc. The pictures don’t escape the general air of crappiness that infects the rest of the site however. For instance, there’s a large section of celebrity caricatures that are utterly useless. This is supposed to be an adult site, and so much of the content little to no eroticism that I find it disturbing.
The best thing about Toon-X is the bonus content. There are 22 live action sites that you can access for free and they all provide downloadable videos that you can keep forever. The niches covered are the most interesting part as you can check out hot tranny babes, slutty cheerleaders, sexy MILFs, naughty housewives, and so much more with your membership. If you’re not into live action porn though, this will be entirely useless to you.
It’s not secret that I’m under whelmed by Toon-X. My biggest problem is that it’s not much of an adult site. There are some amusing ribald cartoons in the member’s area, but they’re not erotic and they’re not going to turn you on. The drawings are bad, but there aren’t enough top not ones to make it worth joining the site. Worst of all, the free tour is full of promises they don’t come anywhere near fulfilling. That’s a crime that can’t be forgiven. If you check out the bonus sites and find them compelling then it’s still worth signing up.
